Like many places in the world, graffiti isn’t legal in The Netherlands. However, that doesn’t stop the residents from creating interesting street art. There are some locations where “legal walls” are located where street artists are permitted to paint

During our time in Nijmegen, Netherland, we got taste of some of the street art that awaited in the bigger cities such as Amsterdam.

After a couple days in Nijmegen, we traveled to the capital city of Amsterdam. From looking at original Van Gogh’s to photographing the murals decorating the street, I spent a large amount of my time admiring the art work of the city.

One part of the this gallery that I emphasized on was the short lasting nature of street art. In the neighborhood of Jordaan, a large street art haven, that once covered the sides of a couple of buildings, was now reduced to murals hidden by construction scaffolding.
